Ships Gallery is a treasure trove of art works and historical documentation for 500 sailing vessels built in Atlantic Canada during the age of sail. The art works represented here are held in public and private collections in Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. They record the evolution of ship design, as well as the changing artistic styles of ship portraiture, between 1817 and 1926.
